Just an average college student, fed up with increasing pant sizes, non-photogenic double chins, and ever-present stretchmarks

WELL I have decided to do the “logging everything I eat” thing again. I’m using the app “Lose It” on my phone and what is WONDERFUL is the fact that you don’t have to be connected to the internet to get a list of all the food in the database! SOOO…

Goal: Lose 1.5 pounds/week

145 lbs by June 6, 2012

Calorie Allowance: 1,697 calories/day

So far, it has been a little annoying because I have to remember to add each component to the meal. Like the other day, I had a hot dog. I forgot to add the bun, so I had to go back and do that. GRR. I’m sure I’ll get better at is as time goes on.

I mean, the logging worked when I did it last time. I just gave up cuz it was too time consuming. This way, I don’t have to upload it to a blog to keep track of it. I have it on my phone which is, guiltily, always with me.

ALSO I was walking home from the park today and I was walking up a gaint hill. I though to myself, “Hey! Why don’t I climb this hill five times each day.” SOOO starting tomorrow morning, I am going to put my laundry in, and walk up the hill with my Reebox RunTone shoes. WOO :)

ALSO ALSO I am thinking about buying a fitness pass at school so I can do spin classes, Zumba, and other fun workout options. I’m still debating this, though, because it is $40/semester and I don’t want to waste my money if I am going to be extremely busy with classes/internship/leadership. We’ll see…

So I had the fun experience of going to the girl doctor this past week due the prolonged late arrival of Aunt Flow (if you get my drift). Last time I went, he told me that it would be beneficial if I lost 10 pounds. That was a year ago. This time, I was two pounds less. He still attributed my inconsistencies with weighing too much and he said that in order for my cycle to be back to normal, I should weigh about 50 lbs less than I do now. I have no problem with that except for the fact that I would like to become regular ASAP, not four years from now (which he recommended for a pace).

I know that in my last post I said my goal was to lose 10 pounds by the end of the month… WELL my doctor put me on these progesterone pills to jump start my time-of-the-month and I am considerably more irritable and grouchy and bloated and lazy.

SOOOOO I was just thinking this. If I lost 1 pound a week for a whole year, that is 52 lbs. MUCHHHHH MOREEEE ACQUIRABLE!!!!!!! (and I will reach the doctor’s recommendation)

So it’s been a long time. I have been working NON STOP since the end of May and it just really takes a lot out of me. Good news is that I’ve lost weight :) Although I am working with food, I manage to be running around and sweating enough that I am able to keep off the pounds. I go to the gym when I can— mainly days that I don’t work, just because I am so exhausted every other day. I’m thinking that I need to make more short-term goals. Like monthly. How about lose 10 pounds/month :) Well go with that. I mean, it’s the beginning of the month so on July 31 I will weigh in and hopefully be 10 pounds lighter.

I got a Groupon last week in which I paid $20 for a 3-month unlimited membership to Snap Fitness ($195 value)! I went and worked out for the first time yesterday and it was really fun :) Anthony bought a membership, too, so we went and worked out together. I think it will be more motivation and he will stretch me more if we work out together.

Yesterday I didn’t want to completely murder my body so I did a 5 minute cardio warm-up on a eliptical/stair climber machine. Definitely worked my thighs. It made me do a high-knee motion. Then I moved on to arms. I did like 6 machines at high rep, low weight. I worked my biceps, triceps, and traps. Finally, Anthony and I did abs. We did this ab swing thing which didn’t really work for me, but then we did some floor ab work. Basic crunches, side crunches, sit-ups.

Feelin’ good today!

Howdy, friends!

So this is the continuation of my blogspot blog entitled “Claire Loses It”. I decided to check out tumblr after many recommendations from friends.

“What is ‘Claire Loses It’ all about? You may ask. WELL…. Basically, over the past few months I have been watching my diet and attempting to exercise in order to be a healthy 20-year old.

In the past, I have posted everything I have eaten that day. I think it was a good idea at first, but then, for you readers, it got very BORING!

SOOOO I’m gonna try something new: I’m going to weigh myself every Saturday morning right when I wake up. I will still record what kind of exercises I am doing just and different foods that I am eating that are helping with my weight loss and that could potentially help you!

Yup. That’s all for now, I guess… I’m gonna go rollerblade!

See ya’ll tomorrow!
